Club Double Elimination Tournament

Club tournaments are played with lineups of either 3 or 5 teams. Whichever club wins 2 of 3 or 3 of 5 matches wins the duel.

A double elimination tournament consists of a single double elimination playoff bracket. Follow these steps to run a club double elimination tournament:

  • Create the Tournament
    1. Click on the Tournaments tab on the left side of the page
    2. Click on the   icon and select New Tournament
    3. Fill in a Name for the tournament
    4. Select Club Double Elimination for the Type
    5. Select either 3 or 5 Teams / Line
    6. Click the Create button to create the tournament
  • Create the Divisions
    1. If not already there, go to the tournament page by clicking on the name of the tournament
    2. Click on the   icon and select Add Division
    3. Fill in a Name for the division
    4. Select a Date that the division will play
    5. Click the Create button to create the division
    6. Repeat these steps for each division in the tournament
  • Register Clubs
    1. Go to a division page by clicking on the name of the division
    2. Click on the   icon and select Register Team
    3. Fill in a club Name
    4. Fill in the name and number of points for each team in the lineup. If points are not provided clubs will be seeded in order of registration
    5. Click the Register button to add the club to the division
    6. Repeat these steps for each club in the division
  • Check-In Clubs
    1. A club can be checked in by clicking the empty box next to the club name. Once checked in there will be a check mark next to the name
    2. Any clubs not checked in before setting up the bracket will not be included
    3. The check-in process can be skipped by clicking the   icon and selecting Check-In All Teams
  • Setup the Bracket
    1. Go to the division page by clicking on the name of the division
    2. Click on the   icon and select Create Bracket
    3. Select the match/game scoring system. Custom does not enforce any scoring system
    4. Fill in the court(s) to be used. Scheduling works best when using one court per match in a duel
    5. Select the time when matches should start
    6. Select an approximate time for each match (in minutes)
    7. Click the Next button
    8. Select which clubs to include. Uncheck the green checkbox next to a club name to leave them out
    9. Click the Next button
    10. Modify the bracket seeding if desired. Drag club names to different locations within the bracket, but make sure there is only one club per slot
    11. Click the Finish button to create the bracket
  • Finish the Tournament
    1. Once the duels are complete, go to the division page by clicking on the name of the division
    2. Click on the   icon and select Play Complete
    3. Each club's final standing will be calculated based on where they finished
    4. Any club's finish can be adjusted by clicking on their placement number
